St. Scholastica Academy slipped past Pope John Paul II 51-30 Tuesday on the road in non-district play. Megan Feringa and Lizzie Lagarde netted 12 points each. Claire Schmitt finished with seven points and Sam Zelden added six with Jordan Bass and Victoria Penn contributing five points each. SSA improves to 14-2 overall. PJP II freshman guard Jessica Feraci topped the Lady Jaguars with 13 points all coming in the second half. Feraci connected on three 3-pointers. Pope’s Chloe Bryars added six points and Aixa Crespo netted five points. PJP II opens district play Jan. 13 on the road against Mt. Hermon.
