Mandeville’s Elise Reilly topped the Lady Skippers with 20 points and hauled in five rebounds. Jazmyn Menina contributed 11 points, three rebounds and two steals as Mandeville slipped to 12-8.
The Northlake Christian School Lady Wolverines basketball team nominated senior Taylor Traugott as the New Orleans Advocate’s Player of the Week last week. Traugott, who finished second in the voting to Salmen’s Brown, turned in strong performances helping lead the Lady Wolverines to three consecutive victories. Traugott finished with a 22 point effort in a 41-22 win over First Baptist. Traugott then led the Lady Wolverines to a 48-44 win over New Orleans Military and Maritime Academy registering 25 points. Taylor completed her superb week, notching 19 points in a 31-25 win over Pearl River. Congratulations to both Salmen’s Kalani Brown and Northlake Christian School’s Taylor Traugott for their ongoing outstanding performances.
