The unbeaten St. Paul’s Soccer Wolves continued their streak trimming the Northshore Panthers 2-1 Friday night on the road after appearing on Northshore Sports from Mellow Mushroom the day before. The closely contested match was scoreless at the half as the two district rivals battled to get an upper hand. St. Paul’s moved to 22-0-3 overall and leads Division I District 6 play at 3-0, while Northshore stands at 8-4-3 overall and 1-1-1 in district. St. Paul’s Barrick Roberts, the Wolves’ leading scorer, notched his 19th goal of the season and team captain Eric Guin tallied the game-winner, his eighth of the year. St. Paul’s Byron Morgan was credited with an assist, his eighth of the season. Wolves’ senior keeper Colin Hanley netted three saves as the winning goalie. Northshore’s Alex Rojas tallied the Panthers’ goal assisted by Patrick Keegan. Northshore named Larry Newby its player of the game.
