Thanks to our guests who appeared on Northshore Sports originating from our title sponsor Mellow Mushroom on Highway 190 here in Covington. Thanks to one of the Mellow’s managers Mychal Taylor, who resides in Mandeville, and is a 2009 Fontainebleau High grad and former football player for the Bulldogs. Mr. Taylor is known for his energy and outgoing personality, and has the desire to one day become a sports analyst (is it time for Mr. Mike to move on over)? I also had an opportunity to speak with the current St. Tammany Farmer Sports Editor Jason Russell, who has done a superb job replacing long-time sports reporting legend Paul Salvant at the Farmer. The featured guests were members of the unbeaten St. Paul’s Wolves Soccer team and their seventh-year head coach Sean Moser. The Wolves, the defending Division I state champions, enter tonight’s district match sporting a 21-0-3 overall mark. Also many thanks to the St. Paul’s Wolves soccer parents, who showed up at Mellow Mushroom to support the players. Special Mr. Mike “Shout Out” and thanks to Lisa Ross, the mom of junior defender/midfielder Colin Ross, for taking so many pictures. Lisa was like a “paparazzi queen” taking Kodak moment photos from all angles. Check out Lisa’s photos.
