St. Paul’s Wolves basketball survived a road scare last night trimming the Hammond Tornadoes 72-70. St. Paul’s (19-6) remained unbeaten a top the District 6-5A race at 9-0. St. Paul’s Skylar Herbet delivered 18 points followed by Timothy Bedford and Harrison Prieto with 17 points each. St. Paul’s held a 41-28 halftime advantage before Hammond mounted a second half come back. Hammond outscored St. Paul’s 27-13 in the fourth quarter before the Wolves were able to hold on for the victory.
