Salmen, the District 8-4A champs, rolled past Lakeshore’s Titans 80-34, continuing their district winning streak. The Spartans (24-5) finish 6-0 in district and haven’t lost a district contest since Hurricane Katrina. Salmen placed four players in double figures led by Lane Bolner with 18 points followed by John Norvel with 14. Corey Vinson netted 12 and Alex Taylor chipped in with 11. Salmen coach Jay Carlin said his Spartans played a solid defensive game with the three guard positions being very efficient offensively and did a great job of guarding. Salmen returns to action
Lakeshore’s Ashon Cook, the team’s high-point scorer, averaging 14.8 points, delivered 11 points, two steals and two assists for the Titans. Dillon Smith added eight points. Lakeshore (20-10 overall) finishes district at 3-3.
