Northshore Sports airs tonight from 7-8 at our title sponsor Mellow Mushroom here in Covington located on Highway 190. Tonight’s show will take a little bit of a different twist instead of hosting one school and their head coach of a respective sport I’ll be featuring a number of St. Tammany Parish student-athletes from different schools who excelled at the recently completed Louisiana High School Athletic Association State Track & Field Championships held at Bernie Moore Stadium on the LSU campus, winning coveted state championships in various events. This is just my way of giving these richly, deserving student-athletes an opportunity to be in the spotlight to once again highlight their awesome achievements on the state level recognizing them as amazing state champions representing themselves and their schools in an outstanding manner. Congrats on a job well done to our track and field state champions. Please join me tonight as I chat with St. Tammany Parish’s finest from 7-8 on Northshore Sports airing from Mellow Mushroom. In addition I am asking listeners and fans of our local student-athletes to take a few minutes and stop by Mellow Mushroom sometime during tonight’s show and drop off any non-perishable food items, which will be donated on your behalf to the Samaritan Center Food Bank in Mandeville. Unfortunately, there is an ongoing need to support families here in St. Tammany Parish and it would be a wonderful gesture to be a viable part of the process of helping others.
