Ann and Bruce came by to talk about a great opportunity for young, local entrepreneurs. Here’s info from them…
Class will meet on Monday’s from 5 to 8 p.m. on the Southeastern Louisiana University St. Tammany Center Campus beginning November 2, 2015 through May 5, 2016. The instructors for the 2015-2016 program include:
Ray Seamon, Senior Vice President of First NBC Bank
Hunt Vaughn, Senior Vice President Commercial & Business Banking of Resource Bank
Dr. Randy Moffett, System President of the University of Louisiana System Board of Supervisors Colleges and Universities
Students receive additional instruction through business mentors, guest speakers and field trips.
Class Events Include:
* Investor Panel event to be held in March 2016 will allow students to present business plans to receive funds from investors to help launch their enterprise. The winner of this event move on to compete in the Saunders Scholars Competition with the chance to win a college scholarship.
* Trade Show event to be held in April 2016 will allow students to debut their business or social movement and will provide them with an opportunity to connect with consumers and potential investors.

YEA Northshore is a collaboration of the Northshore Community Foundation, Shelby P. LaSalle, Jr. Consulting, Southeastern Louisiana University and the St. Tammany Parish School System to launch this exciting endeavor while driving the spirit of entrepreneurship in our local youth.
