The weather is the news this morning. Rescue operations took place last night in Hammond with authorities bringing as many as 130 people out of their homes due to high water just off wardline road. Meanwhile the police chief in Bogalusa is reporting that many roads in his city are now closed due to high water. In Franklinton the fairgrounds are flooding and officials say citizens need to stay home unless it is absolutely necessary to move about. Remember, if you encounter a road with high water, turn around, don’t drown.
