2 local events honoring fallen officers in Baton Rouge:
And in Slidell at the First United Methodist Church….
Due to the recent events happening in Baton Rouge and other cities, we have decided to create an opportunity for the Community to let Law Enforcement know that they have our support and prayers. On Wednesday July 20, 2016 at 7:15 pm we will hold a community wide prayer vigil for Law Enforcement. This vigil will take place outside on the front lawn of First United Methodist Church in Slidell after our traditional 6:30 Table Service. We are inviting all members of our community along with local Law Enforcement and First Responders to join us. Everyone is welcome to join us for the 6:30 Communion Service before the vigil at approximately 7:15pm. We are asking everyone to bring a candle for the vigil but will supply one if needed. If you are not able to join us for this event please take a moment and join us in prayer where ever you may be.
