Our guest today was Amy Bouton from St Tammany Parish Government. She looked back at 2016, talked about this year, and pointed us at one specific event coming up. Hear what she had to say below and more info on the event below that.

Pat Brister, St. Tammany Parish President, and the Commission on Cultural Affairs will present the 12th Annual President’s Arts Awards at the St. Tammany Parish Justice Center, on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Each year, the President’s Arts Awards honors local artists and arts patrons who have contributed to the culture here in St. Tammany Parish, through their work.

“Each year, when we celebrate the President’s Arts Awards, the foundational significance of the arts in our community is reinforced,” said Pat Brister, St. Tammany Parish President. “We are fortunate in that we have the distinct privilege of enjoying the talents of world-renowned artists here, so very close to home. We look forward to the development of our Cultural Arts District and Performing Arts Center — a place where these artists, as well as future generations of artists — can showcase their talents so that every  person can experience the richness of the arts in many forms.”
